What is ozone?

Ozone (O3) is a highly reactive gas composed of three oxygen atoms and it is one of the naturally occurring trace gases that make up our atmosphere. The atmosphere serves three critical functions: it provides life-giving oxygen, keeps the earth warm, and protects us from deadly ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun.

What is oxygen?

Oxygen is a colorless, odorless, tasteless gaseous chemical element which appears in great abundance on Earth, trapped by the atmosphere. Many people are familiar with oxygen, because it is a vital component of the respiration process; without oxygen, most organisms will die within minutes.
